The Honourable Ron Cannan, Member of Parliament (Kelowna-Lake Country), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
-- The 21st Lake Country ArtWalk will take place on September 6 and 7, 2014. -- The festival showcases more than 400 fine and performing artists, and features 3,000 original works of art spanning many genres, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, quilting, photography and ceramics. -- The mandate of the Lake Country ArtWalk is to support artists in British Columbia's interior; provide the latest and best artworks to view, buy and enjoy; and offer a family-friendly arts festival. -- The Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program provides Canadians with more opportunities to take part in activities that present local arts and culture and celebrate local history and heritage.
