MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/28/14 -- OnLive, the leader in cloud gaming, today confirmed the OnLive® Game Service will be made available in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands, and Ireland in Q4 2014.
Currently the OnLive Game Service is commercially available in the USA, Canada and UK. Since launching the new client Beta on March 5th for PC, Mac, Android tablets, consoles and smartphones, the company has been scaling up infrastructure and can now extend the OnLive Game Service into more countries, enabling full account sign-ups and access to OnLive's CloudLift and PlayPack subscriptions.
"Since day one we've seen a sizeable chunk of traffic from these regions because of their great connectivity and bias towards our client platforms," said Bruce Grove, OnLive's General Manager. "That interest has continued to grow, and we're close to completing the network operations necessary to deliver full services in these regions. Expect more announcements in the very near future."
The OnLive subscription packages, which now feature over 300 console-quality action-adventure, FPS, strategy, simulation, MMO, racing and sports titles, will be charged in Euros and PayPal has been added as an additional service-wide payment method.
Since its launch in 2010, OnLive has powered premium-quality gaming via the cloud on nearly any Mac or PC computer and a wide range of thin client devices, including lightweight laptops, tablets, smart phones and TVs -- platforms that would normally lack the processing power and memory to run graphics intensive games and other applications. Users can enjoy the freedom and convenience of the OnLive Game Service, playing their games seamlessly across connected devices wherever they are.
OnLive is the originator of fast-twitch cloud gaming. With ground-breaking video compression technology, OnLive instantly delivers full-featured, media-rich applications anytime and anywhere, over any network and across a range of devices. The OnLive Game Service -- with its CloudLift and PlayPack subscriptions -- gives gamers the freedom to play their games on PCs, Macs, tablets and HDTVs. OnLive Go brings the benefits of cloud gaming to MMOs, virtual worlds and other graphics intensive applications. Having pioneered powerful cloud solutions for the most technologically challenging segment, AAA games, OnLive has hundreds of patents that cover its innovations. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California. More information is available at www.onlive.com and www.onlive.co.uk.

To paraphrase someone famous, "The definition of insanity is to do something the same way over and over again and expect a different result". Humans are creatures of habit and when it comes to storage, old habits die hard. Why do we continue to put our faith in legacy storage providers when they haven't invented anything new in decades. Sure, they re-badge their products every couple of years to make their messaging look modern, but ultimately, it's the same old stuff with a new coat of lipsti...

In today's uber-connected, consumer-centric, cloud-enabled, insights-driven, multi-device, global world, the focus of solutions has shifted from the product that is sold to the person who is buying the product or service. Enterprises have rebranded their business around the consumers of their products. The buyer is the person and the focus is not on the offering. The person is connected through multiple devices, wearables, at home, on the road, and in multiple locations, sometimes simultaneously...
