For one night only, twenty Texas-related photographers and photojournalists will say what they have to say with a single image.
Works will be exhibited at the Kevin Page Fine Art Gallery at Valley View Center in Dallas, TX, with an artists’ reception Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The one-night show is open to the public and will be held in conjunction with the Midtown Artists community’s monthly art walk. Click the Facebook event link HERE for more details.
PhotoTXcetera co-founder, Kevin Page, explains the ONEshot! concept: “We wanted to curate an event where we could showcase the power of the individual image. In fine art photography as well as photojournalism, sometimes an entire career can be distilled down to a single photo. Just the same, sometimes the edge of a thing-truly-new can be captured in a lone frame of film. That’s what ONEshot! is all about: that single, defining artistic moment that ‘says it all’.”
ONEshot! by PhotoTXcetera will include works by twenty well-known Texas photographers and digital artists, including:
David Leeson (winner of the Pulitzer Prize)
Lynn Frieda, International travel photographer and TX-native, has shot people and landscapes all over the world including both the North and South poles.
Guy Reynolds, photo editor for the Dallas Morning News
Irby Pace (represented by Galleri Urbane)
Kevin Page and others
The show will include a number of career-defining images from the best of Texas photographers expressed through all mediums. For more information about OneSHOT! by PhotoTXcetera visit http://www.phototx.com, email [email protected] or call 214-929-4671
