COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Buckeye Health Plan (Buckeye), formerly known as Buckeye Community Health Plan, today announced a new name and look designed to project the innovative, customer-centered mission and goals of the company.
During the past few years, Buckeye has experienced growth in its member base and has expanded across the State of Ohio.
"We are celebrating this growth with a new, updated logo and a slight change to simplify our name," Steve White, CEO of Buckeye, said.
"Although our look is different, our members are still our top priority. Buckeye Health Plan is committed to serving members with the quality care they expect and need to stay healthy. As we complete the transition with our brand, our members will not see any big changes in the products and benefits they have come to depend on," he added.
The new branding strategy for Buckeye is part of the comprehensive brand alignment by parent company Centene Corp. for its member companies.
"Centene is transforming the health of our communities, one individual at a time. At Buckeye, we realize that the healthcare system can be complicated and daunting, so we focus on individuals, community presence and involvement and whole health to achieve remarkable results for our members. The new brand alignment is designed to support that focus," White said.
The name change and new brand identity will be phased into marketing materials beginning in September, 2014.
