Hertz Renews Title Sponsorship Of The British Grand Prix (MotoGP™) At Silverstone

LONDON, Aug. 29, 2014  /PRNewswire/ -- The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ) and Dorna Sports are pleased to announce that Hertz, the world-leading general use car rental brand, is yet again the title sponsor of the 2014 British MotoGP™. The British edition of the premier motorcycle racing world championship will be held at Silverstone from  August 28th to August 31st.

As title sponsor of the British MotoGP, Hertz will benefit from significant media exposure through a range of branding opportunities at the circuit, including at the trackside, bridge, starting point, winners' podium backdrops, and clothing of the Paddock Girls. In addition, at this year's event, visitors can try their hand at 'winning the fastest lap' of the famous Silverstone track on bike simulators placed in the Hertz Game Zone or  have their photo taken in one of the Hertz Dream Collection vehicles on display in the area.  Winners will be awarded with different prizes throughout the weekend.

The move follows the successful collaboration between MotoGP™ rights holder Dorna Sports and Hertz, which has been the car and equipment rental supplier for the premier motorcycle racing World Championship since 2010, and first took on title sponsorship of the event in 2012.

The MotoGP championship is an eighteen-race series visiting thirteen countries across four continents. The Hertz British Grand Prix edition of the MotoGP will see Britain's Cal Crutchlow, Bradley Smith, Michael Laverty and Scott Redding battle it out with the likes of Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, and Dani Pedrosa for the much-coveted title. British riders in the lower classes are also proving an ever-greater threat on the world stage, as Danny Kent will scrap it out in Moto2™, while Danny Webb looks to make a push for glory in Moto3™.
