HOUSTON, Aug. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Minute® Ready to Serve Rice launches the Stir-It Up Contest in partnership with Allrecipes, the world's largest digital food brand.
Homecooks are invited to showcase their inner chef and share their best stir-in recipe, which incorporates at least one of the many varieties of Minute® Ready to Serve Rice, for a chance to be the Grand Prize winner of $1,500 cash. Homecooks can enter the contest by visiting Allrecipes.com/MinuteRTSContest.

To enter the contest, consumers should submit an original recipe which includes the ingredient list, method of preparation and use of Minute® Ready to Serve Rice products as one of the ingredients. Contest entrants can stir in any variety of protein, vegetable, fruit or other combination of ingredients to enter.
The recipe submissions will be judged on taste, appearance, ease of preparation and originality. The entrant whose entry achieves the highest total score across all judging criteria will be awarded the Grand Prize of $1,500 cash. The first runner up will be awarded a cash price of $350, and the second runner-up will be rewarded a cash prize of $150. Additionally, five honorable mention prizes will be awarded.
