GUANGZHOU, China, Aug. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden State Foods (GSF)-owned KanPak China has signed a Management Services Agreement (MSA) with Guangzhou OSI Food Co. Ltd to control and manage the Guangzhou produce plant. KanPak China is a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, one of the world's largest suppliers to the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry. GSF services more than 125,000 restaurants in 60 countries from five continents. Its core businesses include processing of liquid products, dairy, produce, meat, and full-line distribution services.
Through Golden State Foods' partner, Taylor Fresh Foods (Salinas, California), the company's annual output exceeds 1.6 billion pounds of produce in North America. Golden State also runs an award-winning, state-of-the-art produce processing plant in Sydney, Australia as well as in Perth, Australia and in Auckland, New Zealand. Additionally, GSF recently acquired New Zealand's leading retail produce company, Snap Fresh Foods.

Through the facility in China, the GSF team will bring its experience in the global production of produce. The team will take over the 100% control and management of the Guangzhou OSI plant under this master agreement. The plant will continue to be dedicated to delivering safe, quality products that meet both clients' and China's regulatory requirements.
Since Golden State Foods acquired KanPak China in 2012, it has been expanding its product line and offerings across GSF's vast array of products and capabilities. Adding to its diverse portfolio of dairy products, the company has recently introduced various liquid product lines to best serve its customers throughout the country.
