Fuji Electric Asia Pacific named Best Variable Speed Drive Provider at Asian Manufacturing Awards 2014

Award cements Fuji Electric Asia Pacific as a leading variable speed drive provider

SINGAPORE, Sept 1, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Fuji Electric Asia Pacific was awarded Best Variable Speed Drive Provider at this year's Asian Manufacturing Awards (AMA) 2014. The award was given based on the high functionality and reliability of its variable speed drives, amongst others. The winners were announced and honored at the AMA gala dinner and awards ceremony held at the Marriot Hotel in Singapore on August 28, 2014.

Since the development of the first general purpose AC Drives in the 70s, Fuji Electric's portfolio has substantially widened as they penetrated the low and medium voltage markets. Fuji Electric's comprehensive line-up, which includes the FRENIIC HVAC, FRENIC MEGA, FRENIC VG, FRENIC ECO, FRENIC ACE and the low harmonic medium voltage FRENIC 4600FM5e drive, is able to fulfill the needs of various businesses.

The newest addition to Fuji Electric's series of AC Drives, the FRENIC ACE occupies the smallest footprint and it addresses the varying requirements and conditions faced in the global market. Made to the highest technology specifications, the FRENIC ACE provides users with four different ratings as well as a customizable logic function to optimize their operations. Featuring a synchronous motor drive, it offers more energy-saving benefits through the sensor-less motor control to optimize energy consumption related to air-conditioning, general manufacturing processes and industrial machinery.

Hayama Hiromu, President at Fuji Electric Asia Pacific highlighted, "We are proud and honored to receive the Best Variable Speed Drive Provider award. Winning this award is a true testament to our world-class variable speed drives technology. We are committed to innovation and quality that benefits our customers."

Organized by Contineo Media, the annual AMA provides timely and valuable recognition for companies providing industrial technology solutions and value-added services. Winners were selected by an international panel of expert judges and audited externally to ensure fairness and transparency.

Manufacturing connected IoT versions of traditional products requires more than multiple deep technology skills. It also requires a shift in mindset, to realize that connected, sensor-enabled “things” act more like services than what we usually think of as products. In his session at @ThingsExpo, David Friedman, CEO and co-founder of Ayla Networks, will discuss how when sensors start generating detailed real-world data about products and how they’re being used, smart manufacturers can use the ...
The Internet of Things is in the early stages of mainstream deployment but it promises to unlock value and rapidly transform how organizations manage, operationalize, and monetize their assets. IoT is a complex structure of hardware, sensors, applications, analytics and devices that need to be able to communicate geographically and across all functions. Once the data is collected from numerous endpoints, the challenge then becomes converting it into actionable insight.

Mobile, social, Big Data, and cloud have fundamentally changed the way we live. “Anytime, anywhere” access to data and information is no longer a luxury; it’s a requirement, in both our personal and professional lives. For IT organizations, this means pressure has never been greater to deliver meaningful services to the business and customers.
Contrary to mainstream media attention, the multiple possibilities of how consumer IoT will transform our everyday lives aren’t the only angle of this headline-gaining trend. There’s a huge opportunity for “industrial IoT” and “Smart Cities” to impact the world in the same capacity – especially during critical situations. For example, a community water dam that needs to release water can leverage embedded critical communications logic to alert the appropriate individuals, on the right device, as...
