NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Reportlinker.com announces that a new market research report is available in its catalogue:

High-Voltage Transmission Systems

http://www.reportlinker.com/p02316116/High-Voltage-Transmission-Systems.html

High-Voltage DC and AC Systems, Submarine Cables, Flexible AC Transmission Systems, Transmission Line Monitoring, SCADA, and Substation Automation and Monitoring

The high-voltage transmission system (HVTS) market is expanding globally. Growth across Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa mimics the initial wave of electrification and transmission system growth seen during the 20th century in North America and Europe. Today, the mega-growth and electrification in China, India, and parts of the Middle East and Africa are similar to the rapid growth of major cities and industrial expansion in the early 1900s that drove the development of HVTSs in North America and Europe.

The HVTS vendor landscape is changing as focus shifts to rebuilding and extending the HVTS to utility-scale wind and solar in remote regions and deploying geographically expansive HVTS infrastructure across regions like China, India, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. These efforts will create significant markets over the next decade. Meanwhile, industrial giants like Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Hyundai, Samsung, LSI, and Nexans and hundreds of smaller companies that were until recently on the fringes of the industry are joining the fight for sales in growing regional markets. Navigant Research forecasts that global annual HVTS revenue will grow from $20.8 billion in 2014 to $31.0 billion in 2023.

This Navigant Research report analyzes the global HVTS market, with a focus on seven technologies: high voltage direct current (HVDC), high-voltage alternating current (HVAC), submarine cables, flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS), transmission line monitoring, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and substation automation and monitoring. The study provides an analysis of the market issues, including drivers and challenges, as well as regional trends and opportunities, related to HVTS solutions. Global market forecasts for revenue, segmented by technology and region, extend through 2023. The report also provides technical descriptions of the primary technologies that represent the main components of the HVTS grid and profiles the key industry players.

Key Questions Addressed:

Which technologies represent the primary components of the high-voltage transmission system (HVTS) grid?

How do these technologies contribute to the HVTS being a next-generation smarter grid?

What factors affect the implementation of the different HVTS technologies?

How do the market trends and opportunities related to HVTS solutions vary by region?

All organizations that did not originate this moment have a pre-existing culture as well as legacy technology and processes that can be more or less amenable to DevOps implementation. That organizational culture is influenced by the personalities and management styles of Executive Management, the wider culture in which the organization is situated, and the personalities of key team members at all levels of the organization. This culture and entrenched interests usually throw a wrench in the work...

With billions of sensors deployed worldwide, the amount of machine-generated data will soon exceed what our networks can handle. But consumers and businesses will expect seamless experiences and real-time responsiveness. What does this mean for IoT devices and the infrastructure that supports them? More of the data will need to be handled at - or closer to - the devices themselves.
