2013 Young Biotechnologist of the Year Dr. Hywel Griffiths (PhD) Is Appointed VP R&D

LIBOURNE, FRANCE -- (Marketwired) -- 09/02/14 -- Fermentalg (EURONEXT PARIS: FALG), an industrial biotechnology company that specializes in the production of oils and proteins derived from microalgae, has announced the appointment of world-renowned microalgae expert Dr. Hywel Griffiths (PhD) to the post of VP Research and Development. He will also be a member of the Management and Scientific Committees.

With a degree and PhD in molecular microbiology from the University of Cambridge, Hywel Griffiths was previously Chief Scientific Officer for Photonz Corporation, a New Zealand biotechnology company specializing in the production of EPA from microalgae.

In March 2013, Dr. Griffiths was named "Young Biotechnologist of the Year" at the NZBIO annual awards ceremony.
