Acision To Lead Secure Mobile Messaging Market For Enterprise Following MindMatics Secure Messaging Acquisition

READING, England, September 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Acision acquires fast-growing connectivity platform MindMatics to power secure, cross-carrier interconnect and mobile engagement services for blue-chip companies

Acision, a global leader in mobile engagement services and an industry innovator in WebRTC technology, today announces that it has acquired MindMatics Secure Messaging for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is part of Acision's growth strategy to broaden its reach and capabilities across enterprise and consumer mobile applications and services, enabling it to offer highly-integrated, hosted messaging solutions which meet the most stringent requirements for security, reliability, coverage and throughput necessary today. This acquisition will position Acision as a global leader in secure messaging across key enterprise vertical sectors such as finance, transportation, travel, logistics and telecommunications.

With a proven footprint in secure messaging and analytics, MindMatics Secure Messaging specialises in mobile-based support services, connecting businesses with their customers and employees to enable two-way dialogue via the most personal and confidential mobile communication channel: messaging. The company, which has flourished over the past two years, experiencing c.115% growth, has connectivity with more than 900 mobile operator networks worldwide. It complies with the highest data protection, security and safety standards, which are audited repeatedly for a broad spectrum of application and content-sensitive messaging scenarios. MindMatics also enables the latest multi-factor and one-time password authentication methods, making it the market-leading messaging platform to the finance industry in Europe.

"MindMatics' technology and expertise fit neatly into Acision's drive towards cross-border interconnect commercial services to mobile operators and enterprises, boosting our already comprehensive product portfolio and enabling direct connections in new countries and secure, two-way messaging into new industries. As we execute our strategy and take the next step in building on our commercial and enterprise propositions, the introduction of MindMatics Secure Messaging into Acision means we can fulfil a clear role in providing consumer applications and services that work across countries to mobile operators and blue-chip businesses, and meet our goal of becoming a leading player in this space," said Acision CEO, Adolfo Hernandez.

More recently, MindMatics Secure Messaging introduced the "secure" IP messaging client "trustego", which provides encrypted messaging between applications and the MindMatics backend infrastructure. "trustego" can be white-labelled or provided as an SDK, allowing businesses to embed secure messaging into their own applications and services.

"While we work to integrate MindMatics into our broader portfolio and invest in scaling into new territories and across new markets, the acquisition is already bringing a number of esteemed brands into our rising enterprise customer base. I am pleased to be welcoming an exceptional team, trusted partner and industry-leading provider into the Acision Group, and believe that by joining forces we will give our customers the additional functionality and capability that they are demanding as part of their mobile engagement solutions, as well as supporting our drive for delivering best-in-class rich communication services," concluded Hernandez.

This acquisition follows Acision's purchasing of Crocodile Technology's assets in November 2013, which enabled the company to add WebRTC-based services to its portfolio and offer the latest real-time, rich communications via the Acision SDK. MindMatics' solutions also combine perfectly with Acision's other assets, including our Services Creation Platform (Acision Dialogue Manager), API platform (forge by Acision), and lastly fuseMe by Acision, a smart communication app.

A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. As Marc Andreessen says software is eating the world. Everything is rapidly moving toward being software-defined – from our phones and cars through our washing machines to the datacenter. However, there are larger challenges when implementing software defined on a larger scale - when building software defined infrastructure. Blockchain. A day doesn’t seem to go by without seeing articles and discussions about the technology. According to PwC executive Seamus Cushley, approximately $1.4B has been invested in blockchain just last year. In Gartner’s recent hype cycle for emerging technologies, blockchain is approaching the peak. It is considered by Gartner as one of the ‘Key platform-enabling technologies to track.’ While there is a lot of ‘hype vs reality’ discussions going on, there is no arguing that blockchain is b...

You know you need the cloud, but you’re hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud. You know that you want the kind of ease of use and scalability that you get with public cloud, but your applications are architected in a way that makes the public cloud a non-starter. You’re looking at private cloud solutions based on hyperconverged infrastructure, but you’re concerned with the limits inherent in those technologies.

The cloud era has reached the stage where it is no longer a question of whether a company should migrate, but when. Enterprises have embraced the outsourcing of where their various applications are stored and who manages them, saving significant investment along the way. Plus, the cloud has become a defining competitive edge. Companies that fail to successfully adapt risk failure. The media, of course, continues to extol the virtues of the cloud, including how easy it is to get there. Migrating...
The use of containers by developers -- and now increasingly IT operators -- has grown from infatuation to deep and abiding love.
