Edited by experts Andrzej Górak, Eva Sorensen, Zarko Olujic and Hartmut Schoenmakers, the three distillation handbooks address the most important and current research on industrial distillation, including all steps in process design, operation and control aspects, and conceptual design. The books present practical information on latest developments with contributions from recognized experts in the field. They also cover a wide range of laboratory and industrial distillation approaches and offer extensive references for each chapter to facilitate further study. The handbooks will be valuable to researchers, practitioners and students of distillation and separation science, including biochemical engineers, chemists, environmental engineers and mechanical engineers in a variety of industries.
Lead editor Professor Andrzej Górak is Chair of Fluid Separations at the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany and Professor at the Technical University of Lódz, Poland. He received his PhD from the Institute of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Lódz where he continued his work as a senior researcher. Professor Górak completed his postdoctoral "Habilitation" at RWTH Aachen University and has held additional positions at Henkel KGaA in Düsseldorf and University of Essen, all in Germany. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Elsevier's journal, Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification.
The five new books are:

There are several IoTs: the Industrial Internet, Consumer Wearables, Wearables and Healthcare, Supply Chains, and the movement toward Smart Grids, Cities, Regions, and Nations. There are competing communications standards every step of the way, a bewildering array of sensors and devices, and an entire world of competing data analytics platforms. To some this appears to be chaos. In this power panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists will discuss the vast to...
