ATEN International Filed Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Five Companies in the United States

ATEN International (TAIEX: 6277), the world-leading designer and manufacturer of advanced connectivity and management solutions, today announced that it officially filed patent enforcement actions in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on August 6, 2014 against five companies, including Uniclass Technology Co., Ltd., Dongguan UNICLASS Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., AIRLINK 101, PHOEBE MICRO INC and BROADTECH INTERNATIONAL CO,LTD. (LINKSKEY).

Additionally, ATEN has officially filed a patent infringement lawsuit asserting five US patents against KVM Switches’ related products to US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas after having fully grasped the specific infringement evidence.

ATEN has always placed considerable emphasis on innovation of R&D and their global patent portfolio, and takes intellectual property rights as the company's key assets. ATEN sets itself against any illegal patent infringement, and will defend the patented technology achievements and intellectual properties rights accumulated over the years with enforcement actions if any infringement evidence is found.

ATEN, as a leading provider of global KVM, has accumulatively obtained and applied for up to six hundred patents in various countries around the world. ATEN treats intellectual property rights as important assets in its industry competition as well as the core of development it takes pride in. So far, up to 85% of the patent technologies have been utilized and applied in ATEN products, indicating ATEN’s strength in patent technology.

ATEN is pleased to promote the industry’s positive development and create market value together with the world's major vendors by way of legitimate patent licensing, but does not allow infringement or plagiarism by any individual/company, or industry competition by means of improper practice, to which ATEN consistently upholds a solemn and positive attitude. If a vendor uses ATEN intellectual property rights without authorization, ATEN, who is committed to protecting R&D technologies and intellectual property rights, will defend its patented technologies and intellectual property rights through legal channels if failing to get a positive response or a solution after negotiation, in order to promote the sound development and competition of the industry.

Having accumulatively obtained and applied for up to six hundred patents in various countries around the world, ATEN is ranked as one of the best in the industry. In the patent application and certificate issuance statistics in 2007, 2008 and 2011 published by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, ATEN was among the top hundred, and won the "National Invention and Creation Award" granted by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2009 and 2012, respectively. The patent rights and technologies promoted by ATEN over the years have not only been widely recognized by each industry, but have also created an impressive global patent value with their high practicability.
