Ascom Network Testing (www.ascom.com/nt) announced today that it has launched a new tool to help operators manage their customers’ experience. TEMS™ MobileInsight employs the crowdsourcing method of data collection, enabling operators to gain insight into the subscriber experience without the need for extensive drive testing.
TEMS™ MobileInsight can deliver detailed geo-located statistics and failure information directly from subscribers' handsets wherever they go, allowing an operator to monitor the real-world customer experience. TEMS™ MobileInsight collects aggregated data which can be easily used for real-time VIP monitoring, corporate QoS assurance, dropped call and congestion hotspot identification, and general network optimization.
“Understanding what customers want and need even before they ask, and proactively managing their problems and expectations make a difference where it counts – the end user’s perception,” says James Morrison, Ascom Network Testing’s Vice President Benchmarking and Monitoring. He added “By collecting data from opt-in subscribers’ mobile phones in the form of key performance indicators (KPIs) and direct subscriber feedback, the operator can assess and analyze their customers’ experience and make network adjustments as needed to ensure their satisfaction. The value of the upgraded solution has already been recognized by one of the North American operators who purchased TEMS MobileInsight to monitor customer satisfaction and service quality of their expanding LTE network.”

Tricky charts and visually deceptive graphs often make a case for the impact IT performance has on business. The debate isn't around the obvious; of course, IT performance metrics like website load time influence business metrics such as conversions and revenue. Rather, this presentation will explore various data analysis concepts to understand how, and how not to, assert such correlations. In his session at 20th Cloud Expo, Leo Vasiliou, Director of Web Performance Engineering at Catchpoint Sys...
