Fair Lawn Dentist Discusses the Cost of Invisalign Orthodontic Treatment

Dr. Jody Bardash Explains How Invisalign(R) Teeth Aligners Can Be a Cost-Effective, Comfortable, and Discreet Alternative to Metal Braces

FAIR LAWN, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 09/04/14 -- Dr. Jody Bardash of Dental Professionals of Fair Lawn says the convenience provided by Invisalign® teeth aligners make it a favorite orthodontic treatment for his patients. Dr. Bardash is an advocate for the Invisalign® system because he says it can solve many minor and complex teeth alignment issues in a more comfortable, less noticeable way.

Invisalign® uses a sequence of clear, removable teeth aligners to gradually shift teeth into a straighter position. Once a patient has been evaluated and a customized series of aligners has been created, they will then be given the aligners to take home. After one set is used for two weeks, the patient moves on to a new set of slightly modified aligners -- a process that works to gently reposition the teeth. Dr. Bardash notes that it usually takes about 9 to 15 months for the best results, although treatment times vary with each patient.

His latest blog post on the practice's website, titled, "How Much Do Invisalign® Teeth Aligners Cost?," shares more details about how the cost of treatment is calculated. In the blog, the New Jersey dentist reveals that, although the national average for Invisalign® treatment is around $5400, the cost of the procedure is ultimately based on each patient's individual needs. As a result, the cost for one patient's Invisalign® treatment may not be the same as another patient's treatment. The number of aligners and the total treatment length are determining factors of the total cost of Invisalign®, Dr. Bardash explains. He says his practice works with their patients to find a suitable payment option, and many dental insurance plans offer coverage for orthodontic procedures. Dr. Bardash notes his office also works with CareCredit®, a third party financing company that offers flexible payment terms for qualified applicants.

For patients interested in Invisalign®, Dr. Bardash says dentists should be able to determine if they are good candidates during their initial consultation. Once the consultation is complete, the patient can get a detailed estimate about how much his or her customized treatment will cost. Dr. Bardash says, since Invisalign® teeth aligners are clear and can be removed for eating, drinking, and daily oral hygiene routines, the treatment can be a very good option for patients looking to straighten misaligned teeth more comfortably and discreetly.
