SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Spreadtrum Communications (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a leading fabless semiconductor provider in China with advanced technology in 2G, 3G and 4G wireless communications standards, today announced the official opening of the Spreadtrum Shenzhen Center for Innovation in Engineering Center. The Center, now available to local customers, delivers a broad range of test and certification offerings that will help mobile device makers accelerate their product launches and strengthen the quality of their product offerings. At the opening, hundreds of guests from the government, customers and media participated in the ceremony and toured the Center.
The Center is located in the hi-tech park in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, adjacent to Spreadtrum's customers. There are ten functional laboratories in a 500m2 area which can also support the certification processes for devices launching on the networks of ' domestic and global operators. This one-stop shop for test and certification not only helps customers accelerate their product launches, but also provides them with trusted certification results that can further the development of relationships with operators as well as domestic and overseas handset brand customers.
