NEUHAUSEN, SWITZERLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 09/05/14 -- Tyco Retail Solutions (www.tycoretailsolutions.com), a leading global provider of retail performance and security solutions, today announced customer Chico's FAS, Inc., has won the 2014 Store Operations Superstar Award from Retail TouchPoints in the category of Inventory Management and Loss Prevention. Chico's was just one of 14 retailers recognized for implementing innovative, effective store operations strategies. By partnering with Tyco Retail Solutions, Chico's successfully completed a strategic RFID-based inventory project to address item-level accuracy and visibility challenges in 13 Soma Intimates pilot stores.
"The Store Operations Superstar Awards recognize organizations tackling intense challenges, from managing mobile technology to motivating employees, in a highly competitive omni-channel environment," said Debbie Hauss, Editor-in-Chief of Retail TouchPoints. "Winning strategies run the gamut from loss prevention to mobile implementations and social media strategies."
Focused on building deeper customer engagement based on transformation through innovation, Chico's Soma Intimates brand worked with Tyco Retail Solutions to deploy an RFID-based inventory intelligence system in the Soma Intimates pilot stores. By leveraging real-time accurate inventory, Chico's ensured the right product was available at the right place, at the right time to satisfy in-store and omni-channel shoppers, ultimately enabling associates to drive an increase in both sales and shopper satisfaction.
"The retail environment has never been more competitive and customers such as Chico's are realizing that using technology as the critical enabler to deliver on the omni-channel promise is not only possible, but also profitable," said Nancy Chisholm, President, Tyco Retail Solutions. "We are thrilled that the Chico's team has been recognized for their customer-centric efforts and focus on innovation to improve the in-store experience."
