Human Capital Institute Announces Details of Second Annual Global Workforce Planning Week

Events to Include 2015 Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy Conference and Strategic Workforce Planning Certification Course

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 12/02/14 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), the global institution for strategic talent management, today announced details of its second annual Global Workforce Planning Week, which will take place in Dallas from Monday, February 23 through Friday, February 27, 2015.

As organizations continue to struggle with growing skills shortages, it is essential that they develop an effective workforce planning strategy to overcome such challenges and understand how their talent can be deployed most effectively. By embracing workforce planning and predictive analytics, organizations can identify the crucial who, what, when and where of their talent. As a result, they can make better informed decisions more quickly and ensure greater alignment between their employees and overall business goals.

Understanding this need for a new approach to workforce planning, HCI is hosting two comprehensive events as part of its 2015 Global Workforce Planning Week. Through these events, attendees will learn the best practices and innovative strategies for workforce planning success.

2015 Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy Conference

Taking place from Monday, February 23 to Wednesday, February 25 at the Marriott Plano in Dallas, HCI's 2015 Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy Conference is designed to help attendees execute an effective business-driven people strategy in 2015 and beyond. By connecting with some of the most accomplished workforce strategists and leaders in workforce planning today, attendees will gain a better understanding of how to address key challenges such as shifting skill demands, how to fill skill and leadership gaps and where they can find their next great talent.

The conference includes an extensive schedule of sessions and workshops, designed to help attendees, beginner and expert alike, learn the proven strategies for successful workforce planning. The event will also include engaging keynotes from experts including Tim Ryan, vice chairman and Markets, Strategy and Stakeholders Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers; Jane Datta, director of Workforce Planning and Analysis, Division for NASA; and Boryana Dineva, head of HRIS, Operations and Data Analytics for Tesla Motors.

Strategic Workforce Planning Certification Course

From Thursday, February 26 through Friday, February 27, HCI will host its Strategic Workforce Planning certification course at MicroTek Dallas. The program goes far beyond traditional manpower planning to provide attendees with a qualitative decision framework that aligns workforce variables with their broader organizational strategy. Participants gain the knowledge and best practices needed to determine the most critical competencies for high performance and growth, develop the agility to respond to rapid change with comprehensive contingency planning, and identify and execute against specific workforce, management and leadership gaps.

Upon completion of the course, participants will achieve HCI's Strategic Workforce Planning Certification, the most widely recognized business credential for knowledge of strategic workforce planning models and concepts.

"More often than not, the people an organization employs are the main competitive differentiator and biggest driver of organizational success," said Carl Rhodes, HCI's chief executive officer. "Yet, the main challenge is in determining how those employees can be deployed in an optimized approach that simultaneously informs and transforms organizational strategy. In hosting our second Global Workforce Planning Week, our goal is to help more organizations understand how effective workforce planning can provide a significant advantage in their long-term talent and business strategies."

HCI's 2015 Workforce Planning and Talent Strategy Conference is made possible by the contributions of many underwriters, including:

Premier Underwriter: SuccessFactors

Diamond Underwriters: Allegis Global Solutions, Camden Delta Consulting, KellyOCG, Vemo and Visier
