ONTARIO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/21/07 -- Phoenix Motorcars, an early leader in the mass production of battery-electric fleet vehicles, with its partner, Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ALTI), will be exhibiting its zero-emission sport utility truck (SUT) during the Faster Freight - Cleaner Air Conference and Expo being held February 26 - 28 at the Long Beach Convention Center. The SUT will be on display at booth 313 in the exhibit hall.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to test-drive the innovative SUT at the "Ride and Drive" activity scheduled on Wed., Feb. 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. located at the main entrance of the Long Beach Convention Center.
The Phoenix Motorcars SUT can travel at freeway-speeds while carrying five passengers and a full payload. The SUT exceeds all specifications for a Type III ZEV, having a driving range of 130 miles, can be recharged in less than 10 minutes, and the battery pack has a life of 12 years or more. It is powered by UQM Technologies (AMEX: UQM) propulsion system, utilizes Boshart Engineering homologation process and is equipped with a non-toxic, revolutionary Altairnano NanoSafe(TM) all-battery pack.
Phoenix's SUT is a safe, reliable and smart transportation solution for the California-fleet market. The company is on target to manufacture and sell 500 fleet-ready vehicles by year's end to operators of fleet vehicles, such as public utilities, public transportation providers and delivery services. A limited number of vehicles will be available to consumers in 2007 with an expanded consumer launch scheduled for 2008. Phoenix Motorcars will also introduce an SUV model in late 2007.
