NUREMBERG, Germany, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Rhino Labs, a leading provider of high-performance data security, networking, and data infrastructure solutions is announcing its 1Gbps and 10Gigabit Ethernet Smart Network Adapter with bypass technology. The Smart NICs fully offload secure network services, packet classification and network protocols processing from the host CPU and handle high speed network traffic up to 20 Gbps line rate per port. The Smart Network Adapters come in a PCI-e form factor and are targeted at Networking/ Security Appliances, Servers and Monitoring Systems. The Smart NIC family incorporates the Rhino Health Monitoring (RHM) tool, which provides continuous monitoring of CPU cores, board peripherals, and host processors via heartbeats, voltage, and temperature checkpoints. The NIC6600 family is based on Cavium's Octeon II multi-core processors family of CPUs, which integrates 6 or 10 cores, and provides high performance integration for Deep Packet inspection and next generation 3G/4G/LTE wireless base station platforms. It also provides up to 15GHz of application performance with a large 2MB L2 cache and a DDR3 memory controller. Included is security acceleration for SNOW 3G and KASUMI, TCP/IP packet processing acceleration, and QoS. Cavium's PowerOptimizer™ technology limits maximum power from 9 to 20 watts from low-end to high-end.
