Nautilus TreadClimber Units Considered Perfect Fit for Virgin Active

LONDON -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/14/07 -- The commercial success of the award-winning Nautilus® TreadClimber® cardio trainer continues with news of a new agreement to supply Virgin Active, one of the world's leading health and fitness chains with more than 900,000 members across the UK, Europe and South Africa.

Virgin Active, which operates 72 clubs in the UK alone and represents a major portion of the UK commercial fitness market, has signed a three-stage agreement with leading fitness innovator Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS). The arrangement includes introducing 70 TreadClimber units across 15 clubs in late June, followed by two stages to introduce the TreadClimber product into an additional 21 Virgin Active Clubs in the UK over the next four months.

Andy Birch, National Product Development Manager for Virgin Active, commented, "Virgin Active is always looking for products to complement our portfolio of equipment in our health clubs. The TreadClimber trainer is a very intuitive and inclusive product that we are confident will appeal to a wide sector of our membership base. The benefits of this new product speak for themselves -- it is a perfect fit for the UK health club market at this time."

The deal follows the recent seal of approval from Virgin Active members, who had the opportunity to test and supply feedback on the TreadClimber units. "The trial we ran at Virgin Active Northampton with just two units produced more than 500 feedback forms in two weeks, all of which were extremely positive. With six units going into most clubs we're confident that the majority of our members will love this new piece of equipment."

This agreement reflects the first mass-scale introduction of the TreadClimber technology into UK fitness market, following its global innovation award recognition at the recent FIBO fitness exposition in Germany.

"We are delighted that Virgin Active has decided to install these products, given their philosophy to bring members cutting edge fitness innovation," said Darryl Thomas, President of International Equipment for Nautilus, Inc. "This agreement provides further evidence that TreadClimber products are the most exciting cardiovascular training products to hit the commercial market in years."

The Nautilus TreadClimber product has been hailed as a unique innovation in fitness technology, combining modalities three popular gym fitness machines (treadmill, elliptical and stairclimber) into one highly effective machine. The unique three-in-one technology allows users to burn calories twice as fast as walking on a treadmill while still exercising at the same pace, positioning the machine as the ideal low-impact, highly-effective workout.
