The winners represent the latest innovation in mobile products and services that have the power to transform networks, businesses, smart cities and connected consumers. CTIA-The Wireless Association®, an international nonprofit trade organization representing the wireless communications industry, recognized Kony as one of the best mobile solutions of the year, and one that has the potential to influence and benefit businesses and consumers.

By the end of 2017, Gartner predicts the demand for enterprise mobile apps will surpass IT organizations’ capacity to deliver them by five to one (Gartner Report: The Enterprise App Explosion: Scaling One to 100 Mobile Apps, published: 7 May 2015). The significance of the new Kony Visualizer 7 is that it addresses this issue head-on with its innovative technology, which simplifies and accelerates the mobile app development process. The recent release of Kony Visualizer 7 enables cross-platform mobile app development and supports voice input for Apple Watch apps or intelligent control of smart homes using new Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities.

“In just a few years, mobile apps went from being viewed by many in the enterprise as simply a ‘cool’ consumer thing, to becoming a strategic business imperative to stay competitive and meet customer expectation. Yet enterprises are still struggling to bridge the gap between business demands for mobile apps and the ability to quickly and effectively deliver them,” said Dave Shirk, president of Products, Strategy and Marketing, Kony, Inc. “With the help of non-traditional, low-code tools, like Kony Visualizer 7, developers and designers, and those with no background in programing or coding skills, can easily and quickly build rich, innovative mobile apps. Kony Visualizer 7 also allows developers and designers to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to get immediate feedback on the mobile apps they’ve designed, creating better alignment between business and IT as part of the innovation process.”

The Kony Visualizer Starter Edition is downloadable at no cost, opening up the opportunity for a broader group of users, such as designers, developers and non-technical line-of-business users. With Kony Visualizer Starter Edition, users can visually design fully interactive, native mobile apps for their organizations. Once users design a mobile app using the Kony Visualizer Starter Edition, they can also choose to easily move the app to production using the Kony Visualizer Enterprise Edition subscription to deploy and connect the app to back-end services and APIs (Application Program Interface) via Kony MobileFabric.

Kony Visualizer 7 is generally available worldwide. The free Starter Edition can be downloaded from here: http://www.kony.com/products/visualizer.
