VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - October 19, 2016) - On Thursday, Oct. 20, the Fraser Institute will release a new essay examining Alternative Voting, one of several voting systems under review by a parliamentary committee tasked with recommending changes to Canada's current first-past-the-post electoral system.
The essay, The Consequences of the Alternative Vote, provides an extensive analysis of previous federal election results and spotlights how Alternative Voting might change the competitive nature of Canada's democracy.
This essay is part of a book on electoral reform, which will also be released tomorrow.
A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired on Oct. 20 at 5:30 am (Eastern).
