EDGEWATER, N.J., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kids That Do Good, a resource aimed at providing insights and access for children who are below the legal age of working but would like to become involved with organizations and causes locally and nationally, announced its launch today on a mission to empower young people to make a difference at any age. The platform, an innovative yet easy to navigate site, makes it effortless for eager participants to search charities by age, location or category and find ways to get involved and make a positive impact on their community.
Founded by Max and Jake Klein, 14-year-old twin brothers with an inherit desire to give back, KTDG was created with the objective of solving a pain point the two commonly ran into throughout their early childhood - the inability for kids to volunteer due to age restrictions. Always keen on donating birthday gifts and raising money for those in need, Max and Jake set out to build an interactive platform that serves as an aggregator of charities from across the nation organized by age, category, and location. In addition, the site will host a variety of blog content written by the two founders, as well as their DXagency team and teenage board members, to create an environment that fosters service and even provides charitable ideas that anyone can do on their own.
"For as long as we can remember, we've been trying to help make the world a better place," said KTDG Co-Founder, Max Klein. "When we realized we weren't alone in running into the challenge of finding charities that allowed kids of all ages to participate, we decided to launch KTDG to do just that." Jake Klein, the other half of KTDG's founding duo adds, "Our goal is simple- to connect kids with ways to give back on a local, regional or even national level. It's a simple concept but we hope that the impact it has on the community will be extraordinary."
Misha Zilman, the KTDG Advisor and DXagency Sr. Director of Accounts, shares, "When Max and Jake told us about the idea we knew we had to make it a reality. It's amazing how many kids are searching for ways to make an impact and the age barrier is a difficult one to navigate alone. We wanted to aggregate ideas and charities for each age, but also realize that families can participate together. It's for the kids, but we can all benefit from KTDG. DXagency is powering the idea by donating its services and every disciple of the agency is supporting this worthy cause."
KTDG is a 501(C) (3) charitable organization and the site supports two types of users, the volunteer and the organization representative. Volunteers are given the opportunity to comb through the KTDG Database to find a cause that interests them by using the filtering tools. In turn organization representatives are also given the opportunity to sign up and propose their causes to be vetted by the KTDG team. Currently, the platform offers volunteering opportunities in over 20 major cities at reputable organizations including the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Food Bank of New York, and The Miami Zoo as well as outlines ideas and charitable initiatives that kids and families can do on their own.

We hear more and more about cyber-attacks on the websites of large corporations, banks and even small businesses. When online we’re concerned not only for our own safety but also our privacy. We have to know that hackers usually start their preparation by investigating the private information of admins – the habits, interests, visited websites and so on. The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

Enterprises have been using both Big Data and virtualization for years. Until recently, however, most enterprises have not combined the two. Big Data's demands for higher levels of performance, the ability to control quality-of-service (QoS), and the ability to adhere to SLAs have kept it on bare metal, apart from the modern data center cloud. With recent technology innovations, we've seen the advantages of bare metal erode to such a degree that the enhanced flexibility and reduced costs that cl...
