NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 19, 2016) - Philippe Allain has joined Joseph Gunnar & Co., LLC as the Head of Event Driven and Institutional Equity Sales. Mr. Allain has held senior sales and trading positions at Sunrise Brokers, Tullett Prebon, Newedge, Maxim Group and Natixis Bank. Prior to that, Mr. Allain was a telecom analyst at BNP Paribas in Singapore. Mr. Allain received a master's degree in telecom and computer engineering from TelecomSudParis, France.
Philippe will be responsible for risk arbitrage and merger arbitrage trading at Joseph Gunnar. Together with his team, he will focus on providing his network of North American and European institutional accounts investing in event driven and arbitrage strategies. They will provide the firm's clients with research, sales and high touch execution services using first class connectivity's coupled with their seasoned knowledge of the market structure.
