U-Vend's "Grab It-Taste It-Love It" Merchandiser Program Expanding Ahead of Schedule

Convenient and Simple, Consumer Retail Stores Embracing Point-of-Sale Units in Record Numbers

SANTA MONICA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/19/16 -- U-Vend, Inc. (OTCQB: UVND) (the "Company"), a consumer products and technology company that develops, distributes, and markets next-generation self-serve electronic kiosks and merchandisers with a digital advertising component across North America, today announced that its new "Grab It-Taste It-Love It" Mini Melts ice cream merchandiser program, specifically targeted for smaller consumer retail locations, is realizing significant demand in just the first few months of its launch.

"Since we announced the initial placement of 45 merchandisers in our first target market of Southern California in mid-August, we've secured an additional 75 locations, bringing our total coverage to 120 locations, as of today. This represents a significant lift in the number of merchandisers, and puts us well ahead of our stated goal of adding one new customer a day and 500 by the end of 2017. In addition, the growth and reputation of our brand is providing U-Vend with additional revenue and partnering opportunities we hope to announce shortly," added Meyers.

The program is aimed at high-traffic establishments such as convenience stores, fast food locations and gas stations that are not large enough to support the placement of a large vending machine, but will support the addition of a lower cost, high-margin product sales solution such as the U-Vend merchandiser. The Company's merchandiser freezer comes in two sizes, 5.2 cubic ft. and 3.5 cubic ft. and hold between 100-200 units of pre-cup Mini Melts ice cream.

Initially launched in certain regions of Southern California, U-Vend expanded the program to include all of Southern California and its Las Vegas market.
