Meizu Unveils PRO 6 Plus Flagship Smartphone and its Brand New OS, Flyme 6 Operating System

SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Meizu, one of the leading smartphone maker officially launched its flagship device, the Meizu PRO 6 Plus, equipped with the company's latest intelligent operating system (OS), the intelligent and feature-rich Flyme 6.

  • 5.7-inch display and powerful Samsung flagship processor

The PRO 6 Plus comes with a clearer and sharper 5.7-inch display with 2560*1440 resolution, exceeding the 2K standard and most mainstream desktop displays. It is equipped with the powerful octa-core Samsung Exynos 8890 processor built on a state-of-the-art 14nm FinFET process. The PRO 6 Plus can handle various demanding activities such as video games and complex applications with ease.

  • Sony IMX386: 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) system for perfect pictures

The PRO 6 Plus features a 12 mega-pixel f/2.0 large aperture camera with customized Sony IMX 386 sensor and 6-element lens. Along with its OIS system, the PRO 6 Plus can capture stunning pictures even under low light conditions. The latest generation high-performance ISP image processor also significantly improves color, sharpness, and noise reduction performance in photos and videos.

The PRO 6 Plus incorporates the latest USB technology - Type-C and USB 3.1. Its reversible USB Type-C connector supports data transmission with a bandwidth up to 5Gbps. The battery has a capacity of 3400mAh and has a lifespan of more than 900 charging cycles.

Flyme 6 OS - Unique content-driven design and 400+ new features

Flyme 6 features an outstanding and unique content-driven design that utilizes eight elegant colors. Users are able to fully immerse themselves into the content without being bothered by irrelevant factors.

Meanwhile, the One Mind artificial intelligence engine is able to adjust system performance according to user preference. It can identify users' favorite apps and designate extra resources to those apps to make them run more smoothly.

More than 400 new features were added in Flyme 6, including a revamped picture capturing process and a reworked lost phone finding assistant.
