Asavie, a leader in Software Defined Networking solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) and enterprise mobility management, announced today at AWS re:Invent a partnership with EpiSensor, the Industrial IoT sensor platform. Together the two companies make it easier for enterprises to securely collect and route large volumes of industrial data to cloud environments such as the AWS cloud. The combined offering is suitable for a wide variety of applications and industries from precision agriculture to energy management, and can be deployed in the most harsh, secure and mission critical environments.
Industrial IoT requires the collaboration of multiple vendors to come together and make it easier for customers to deploy their IoT projects globally. The IoT stack is comprised of multiple layers and by joining forces Asavie and EpiSensor are simplifying the deployment of complete solutions for their industrial customers. The combination of on-demand network connectivity with industrial grade wireless sensors mean developers and companies can scale from the lab to countrywide deployments using the same architecture. Asavie recently achieved the IoT Competency in the AWS Partner Network.
Brendan Carroll, CEO of EpiSensor welcoming the announcement said "EpiSensor's Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Platform makes it easier to collect data, so people can make better decisions. Traditional industrial control and automation systems although reliable, were never designed to be internet-connected and are too complex and expensive for many applications. We simplify this data collection layer, but this is just one element of an overall IoT solution. Our partnership with Asavie makes it so much easier for our customers to build and deploy full-stack Industrial IoT solutions.”
Lars Jerkland, VP OEM Sales at Asavie commenting on the partnership said, “together Asavie and EpiSensor are making it easier for end user customers to deploy their IoT projects faster than ever before and unlock the inherent value within their businesses quickly. The out-of-the-box combination of industrial sensors with secure, configurable carrier-grade connectivity enables immediate deployment and unlimited scaling of IoT projects globally.”
Asavie makes connectivity simple. The Asavie PassBridge™ platform delivers on demand connectivity services to manage and secure connectivity across diverse networks, at scale. In partnership with over 20 leading mobile operators including AT&T, Telefonica, Three and hardware providers such as Dell, Asavie enables over 10,000 end-user enterprises large and small to scale their smart, connected projects resulting in increased cost savings and rapid delivery of new services to market.
EpiSensor provides an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) hardware platform that make it easier to collect data, so people can make better decisions, reduce cost and improve efficiency. The company’s enterprise-class monitoring systems are flexible, scalable, secure, reliable and easy to install. EpiSensor’s systems have improved efficiency and performance for Governments and Fortune 500 customers in Europe, Australia, Asia, and North America.

Fact: storage performance problems have only gotten more complicated, as applications not only have become largely virtualized, but also have moved to cloud-based infrastructures. Storage performance in virtualized environments isn’t just about IOPS anymore. Instead, you need to guarantee performance for individual VMs, helping applications maintain performance as the number of VMs continues to go up in real time.
