Fidzup, performance mobile marketing expert for retailers, announced that it has raised $3,7 million with venture capitalists Cap Horn, Turenne Capital and its shareholders. Already working with a number of leading brands in France and Europe, Fidzup has identified a significant opportunity to provide an alternative solution for American retailers.
Fidzup, launched in 2011 by Olivier Magnan-Saurin and Anh-Vu Nguyen, is profitable and generating strong growth backed by its advertising platform for retailers, with the goal of optimizing and measuring in-store visits.
Digital advertising is focused on clicking, and the market needs a viable in-store alternative to leading e-commerce firms who have built their performance marketing campaigns on a cost-per-click model. Fidzup can help stores generate and analyze in-store traffic, remain in contact with shoppers, and entice them back.
How it works?
- Fidzup connects Mobile Programmatic Advertising to retail stores. Collecting billions of touch points from mobile apps, Fidzup generates SmartData and targets mobile users, prospective and competitors’ clients, depending on where they shop, demographics and buying intentions.
- Fidzup’s stack relies on data from small wifi boxes called Fidbox to identify mobile users in-store, like an internet cookie, tracking them throughout the store more accurately than GPS. The boxes analyze the success rate and ROI of performance mobile ad campaigns, and customer behaviour within the store, creating precise campaign segments.
- Backed by this state-of-the-art technology, Fidzup can provide clients a “cost-per-visit” service.
Fidzup: in-store mobile marketing global solution
Fidzup’s Programmatic & Analytics Platform is made up of DSP, DMP and Tag management solutions, developed in-house for bricks-and-mortar stores. These technologies enable store managers to direct their campaigns while accurately measuring their return on investment.
Fidzup works with numerous global brands: Ford, KFC, Timberland, Mercedes, BMW…
“The US is clearly a massive market opportunity and we are confident that we can offer a differentiated proposition for retailers. Our technology lets retail managers generate data out of their stores and commit to serious investment in mobile performance advertising using our ROI-centric platform. This will change their stores into data generators, while also boosting footfall,” says Olivier Magnan-Saurin, FIDZUP CEO.

Fact: storage performance problems have only gotten more complicated, as applications not only have become largely virtualized, but also have moved to cloud-based infrastructures. Storage performance in virtualized environments isn’t just about IOPS anymore. Instead, you need to guarantee performance for individual VMs, helping applications maintain performance as the number of VMs continues to go up in real time.
