SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Songtradr, the fastest-growing music licensing platform in the world, announces today the company is expanding internationally into Southeast Asia, and opening a New York City office, further cementing its commanding presence in the space.

Songtradr's global marketplace delivers commercial music to brands, apps, TV and filmmakers directly from artists, songwriters and catalogs, and provides music creators with all the tools they need to monetize their music in one location.

Since its inception, Songtradr has received $4 million from private investors, and rapidly grown to host music content for licensing from over 30,000 artists, with signups doubling every two months. Users from over 150 countries are uploading thousands of tracks each week, making the platform the most geographically diverse music licensing marketplace in the world.

Songtradr has been extremely successful penetrating the television and film business, working with many of the world's top entertainment companies, and continues to add more customers and content partners to its roster.

Through a new partnership with music marketing company, Homonym PH, Songtradr will now be expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia, to serve the growing demand for music in the region, and support music creators at a local level.  Homonym will curate Songtradr's deep selection of music content to fit the tastes of clients and partners initially in the Philippines - both on the brand/agency and creator side, offering a 24/7 service for all of the market's content needs.
