SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY), the world's largest cloud platform dedicated to small, independent ventures, today announced an expanded GoDaddy Pro Program, a set of tools and benefits designed for web designers and developers. The GoDaddy Pro Program now includes Pro ManageWP, which allows users to control all of their WordPress websites in one place, regardless of host. A result of GoDaddy's recent acquisition of ManageWP, a high-end WordPress site management tool, this new offering allows web professionals to execute bulk updates for plugins and themes, perform security scans, monitor performance and uptime, and generate branded client reporting from a single dashboard.
GoDaddy continues to expand its offerings for web professionals, providing needed tools to minimize administrative tasks, save time and allow them to focus on growing their business. To better serve these clients, GoDaddy, has expanded its incentives with additional product discounts and rewards for Pro members.
The GoDaddy Pro Program includes access to 24/7 expert technical support and a profile on GoDaddy Pro Connect, a directory of web designers and developers from the GoDaddy Pro Program for small businesses looking for website help. Web designers and developers can also now receive new client referrals and offer numerous services to customers, ultimately helping drive more business.
The free GoDaddy Pro Program includes:
- Pro ManageWP -- WordPress site management tools that enable one click bulk updates for multiple WordPress sites.
- GoDaddy Pro Clients – A single place to manage client accounts without having to juggle multiple client passwords. From one dashboard pros can see all client product purchases, shop for their clients or send them a shopping list for needed purchases.
- GoDaddy Pro Rewards – Provides product discounts and exclusive promotions. Pros also earn in-store credits on all purchases.
- GoDaddy Pro Connect – A new online directory bringing experienced web designers and developers together with small businesses who need help creating or updating their website. Using this directory, small businesses can more easily find local web professionals they trust. Web developers and designers can create a profile and earn GoDaddy client referrals.
"More than 50 percent of small businesses hire a web professional to build or maintain their websites every year, and this is true for many of our 14 million customers," said Jeff King, SVP of Hosting at GoDaddy. "We continue to strengthen our partnerships with web pros globally, especially through our world class platform and Pro Program that provides innovative tools and great economic benefits."
"The ManageWP team brings industry-leading WordPress tools to the broad audience GoDaddy serves," said Vladimir Prelovac, founder of ManageWP and now senior director of product management at GoDaddy. "We've been working well as a combined team to deliver tools from ManageWP, and integrate deeply with GoDaddy Pro."
Since joining GoDaddy, ManageWP continues to deliver by releasing automated client reports, automated performance scanning and security scanning. In addition, ManageWP is on track to release a public API, which will enable Pros and partners to build ManageWP functionality into their own apps and workflows, by the end of the year.
"As a Web Diva® who supports around 200 websites, ManageWP is invaluable when it comes to assessing the big picture of my client base. From a single dashboard, I can identify exactly which sites were impacted by recent WordPress/theme/plug-in updates, schedule off-site backups, jump from site to site to handle various updates (without manually logging into each one) and more," said Lisa Stambaugh from Collective Discovery, Inc. "Given the day-to-day pace I often live with, ManageWP has enhanced flexibility, functionality, efficiency and my peace of mind."

As software becomes more and more complex, we, as software developers, have been splitting up our code into smaller and smaller components. This is also true for the environment in which we run our code: going from bare metal, to VMs to the modern-day Cloud Native world of containers, schedulers and micro services. While we have figured out how to run containerized applications in the cloud using schedulers, we've yet to come up with a good solution to bridge the gap between getting your contain...

Apache Hadoop is emerging as a distributed platform for handling large and fast incoming streams of data. Predictive maintenance, supply chain optimization, and Internet-of-Things analysis are examples where Hadoop provides the scalable storage, processing, and analytics platform to gain meaningful insights from granular data that is typically only valuable from a large-scale, aggregate view. One architecture useful for capturing and analyzing streaming data is the Lambda Architecture, represent...

Providing the needed data for application development and testing is a huge headache for most organizations. The problems are often the same across companies - speed, quality, cost, and control. Provisioning data can take days or weeks, every time a refresh is required. Using dummy data leads to quality problems. Creating physical copies of large data sets and sending them to distributed teams of developers eats up expensive storage and bandwidth resources. And, all of these copies proliferating...

DevOps is often described as a combination of technology and culture. Without both, DevOps isn't complete. However, applying the culture to outdated technology is a recipe for disaster; as response times grow and connections between teams are delayed by technology, the culture will die. A Nutanix Enterprise Cloud has many benefits that provide the needed base for a true DevOps paradigm. In his Day 3 Keynote at 20th Cloud Expo, Chris Brown, a Solutions Marketing Manager at Nutanix, will explore t...

DevOps has often been described in terms of CAMS: Culture, Automation, Measuring, Sharing. While we’ve seen a lot of focus on the “A” and even on the “M”, there are very few examples of why the “C" is equally important in the DevOps equation. In her session at @DevOps Summit, Lori MacVittie, of F5 Networks, explored HTTP/1 and HTTP/2 along with Microservices to illustrate why a collaborative culture between Dev, Ops, and the Network is critical to ensuring success.
