SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- To celebrate the theatrical release of "ASSASSIN'S CREED," in theaters December 21, AMD and Alienware have teamed up with 20th Century Fox and New Regency to launch a virtual reality (VR) experience that will take the viewer into the world of the Spanish inquisition through the lens of an Assassin. The "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience premieres today at The Game Awards 2016 in the 'ASSASSIN'S CREED RED Room' brought to you by AMD and Alienware.

Developed and rendered using innovative AMD Radeon™ technology, which is designed to fuel the creation of real-time photorealistic VR content, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience was shot on-location during the movie's filming both in Malta and at Practical Magic's studio in Burbank.

On December 1, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience will make its debut at The Game Awards 2016 'ASSASSIN'S CREED RED Room' brought to you by AMD, Alienware and FOX (previously the Green Room), which will also feature exclusive clips from the movie, live interviews and special guest hosts.
From December 2 through January 1, 2017, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience will roll out to cinema-goers at AMC Theaters in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin and New York City. The theaters will feature several Oculus Rift demo kiosks where viewers can immerse themselves in the powerful content before or after their movie. Each of the kiosks will be powered by the new Alienware Aurora PC featuring the new Radeon™ RX 480 graphics cards.
