Top six sensor-based gun systems market vendors


The company’s Smart System is a concept incorporated for gun safety. The system consists of a radio-controlled watch that allows gun access and use. A gun with Smart System will only operate if it is within the range of the watch. The safety mechanism can be released via the radio-controlled watch, which is activated by a personal identification number (PIN) code. If the gun loses radio contact with the watch, it automatically gets deactivated.

DoDaam Systems

The company has been engaged in the development and supply of autonomous sentry guns since 2010 for addressing the security requirements of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces (South Korean Army). These guns integrate charge-coupled device (CCD) color cameras, forward-looking IR (FLIR) cameras, and sensor systems (thermal imaging and laser rangefinder). Owing to the advanced sensor technology, these guns are capable of operating in low light or even in complete darkness, as well as identifying human targets.

The system can be integrated with additional enhancements such as smoke grenade launchers, appliqué armor, and battlefield management systems.
