Tulip Retail and True Fit Announce Partnership to Personalize In-Store Shopping

NEW YORK and BOSTON, March 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Tulip Retail, a mobile application platform built exclusively for retail stores and sales associates, and True Fit, a data-driven personalization platform for footwear and apparel retailers, today announced their strategic partnership to improve the in-store shopping experience by providing highly personalized style, fit, and size recommendations to shoppers. This new personalization capability for in store will first be piloted at select kate spade new york stores in mid 2017.
In the nearly two trillion-dollar global apparel and footwear market, over 80% of purchases still occur in-store. However, 67% of in-store purchases are now web influenced, meaning more and more consumers are consulting digital content before or during their visits to stores.

Now, by integrating True Fit's personal style, fit, and size recommendations seamlessly into Tulip's platform for sales associates, associates and shoppers can view a personally curated catalog of items for every shopper, where each customer's best items float to the top for a more efficient path to discovering new brands and styles they'll love and keep. Store associates will also be able to confidently show customers how well each item is expected to fit, and identify which size is best in each style –making every sales associate a personal shopper and fit expert.
Integration of True Fit's personalization with Tulip represents the first time sales associates will be able to leverage the same personalization from True Fit that has already been adopted online by a growing community of over 35 million users, which continues to grow at nearly two million new users per month across it's retailer network, and is projected to surpass 50 million in 2017. Further, True Fit's personalization platform drives an average lift of over 5% a/b tested net incremental revenue site wide for its network of leading retailers, and True Fit and Tulip expect this partnership to similarly drive new incremental revenue lift for retailers in store.
