Expertek Celebrates its 25th Anniversary of Delivering Innovative Software Solutions and Services to Distributors

MARLBOROUGH, Mass., March 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Expertek Systems, a leading provider of cloud software solutions and services for distributors, today announced the celebration of its 25th anniversary this year.

"It's quite an accomplishment to thrive for a quarter of a century in the highly competitive IT software and services business," said Ken Mostello, co-founder and CEO, Expertek. Mostello attributed Expertek's longevity to "providing businesses with a competitive advantage through innovative technology and the company's deep expertise in the distribution market.  From the very beginning, we were at the forefront of the industry by incorporating the most advanced technology, such as mobility, warehouse automation and cloud ERP solutions, into our solutions offering."

Expertek started in 1992 when Mostello and Paul Sorrento, co-founder and COO, combined their deep knowledge of IT, manufacturing and distribution to address the underserved market of small and medium-size distributors.  According to Sorrento, "Small and medium-size distributors want the latest technology and affordable deployment options so they can compete more effectively with much larger businesses. We addressed their needs and also offered solutions that delivered results for their businesses in the form of higher productivity, reduced costs, expanded sales channels and improved profitability."

One of Expertek's first customers, Americlean Distributors, a leading provider of laundry and dry cleaning supplies, now uses a wide array of its software and services that include cloud enterprise, distribution and eCommerce solutions. "We congratulate Expertek on their 25 year milestone," said Mike Ross, president of EJ Thomas. "Our enduring technology partnership with Expertek has allowed us to promote efficiencies throughout the company's operations and successfully manage our rapid growth. We look forward to working with Expertek on more productivity initiatives in the years to come."

Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before. They have a question on their mind like “How is my application doing” but no id...
