Le mardi 21 mars, les nouveaux critères d’éligibilité à la marque de haute qualité Mino Washi ainsi que les trois nouveaux logos seront présentés lors de l’exposition mondiale Mino Washi.

Ce papier, dont la naissance remonte à 1300 ans, est exclusivement fabriqué dans la ville de Mino, située dans la préfecture de Gifu. Les savoir-faire traditionnels de fabrication ont été inscrits au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l’UNESCO en 2014

Cette exposition organisée par le « Minowashi Brand Value Improvement Research Group » (composé du gouvernement départemental de Gifu, de la ville Mino et de la société coopérative de la marque Mino Washi) se tiendra simultanément dans cinq villes de par le monde : Tokyo, Gifu, New York, Paris et Milan.

L’exposition présentera des produits déjà existant et des nouveautés utilisant le Mino Washi réalisés par des artistes et des créateurs de divers domaines tels que l’art, l’architecture et la conception de produits. Ces réalisations montrent les utilisations possibles des différentes techniques et suggèrent de nouvelles idées. Le livre de marque, qui raconte l’histoire de Mino Washi, sera distribué sur chacun des lieux d’exposition. Cette exposition offre de nouvelles possibilités pour l’utilisation du Mino Washi comme un nouveau matériau illustrées par les objets présentés lors de l’exposition et dans le livre de marque.

Les nouveaux logos des marques

Un ensemble de nouveaux critères stricts a été établi pour Mino Washi et seuls les produits satisfaisant aux critères de qualité sont autorisés à porter le logo d’une des nouvelles marques.

Les trois nouvelles marques sont :

“hon-minoshi Japan”, “mino-tesukiwashi Japan” et “mino-kikaisukiwashi Japan”.

Les critères retenus pour se qualifier à la certification sont : le lieu de production, le fabricant, les matériaux, la qualité, l’impact sur l’environnement et le papier de base utilisé.

Satisfaisant à ces critères stricts, les produits porteurs de l’un de ces logos seront également labellisés haute qualité Mino Washi et ils seront les ambassadeurs d’une marque qui s’apprécie dans le monde entier.

La nature généreuse de la région de Mino et les eaux limpides des rivières Nagara et Itadori sont à la source du Mino Washi, le papier avec une histoire de 1300 ans.
