100% Fiber Network Powered by AT&T Fiber Expands in East Bay

Ultra-Fast Internet Speeds Available to Homes, Apartments and Small Business Locations in East Bay

OAKLAND, Calif., April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T1 is now offering a 1 gigabit connection2 on our 100% fiber network powered by AT&T FiberSM to customer locations in the East Bay, including in parts of Fremont, Newark, Oakland and surrounding areas.3

We plan to expand access to ultra-fast internet speeds in parts of Hayward, San Leandro and Union City in the future.

The Oakland metro is one of 52 metros nationwide where our ultra-fast internet service is currently available. We plan to reach at least 75 metros with our fastest internet service.

Today, we market a 1 gigabit connection2 on our 100% fiber network to more than 4.6 million locations nationwide. In 2017, we plan to have added 2 million locations, and we plan to reach at least 12.5 million locations by mid-2019.
