Burke High School in Boston, MA, where more than 350 volunteers will serve alongside City Year AmeriCorps Members to brighten spaces for students by painting common areas and educational murals, as well as building an outdoor seating area for learning. In addition, volunteers will pack supply kits for students and teachers. Comcast NBCUniversal also sponsors a team of City Year AmeriCorps members at the Burke High School, who support the school's 530 students through tutoring, mentoring and school-wide support.

North Hollywood High School, Los Angeles, CA, where nearly 450 volunteers will serve alongside City Year AmeriCorps Members to paint murals, create college-themed stairwells, and other projects to enhance school pride throughout the campus for more than 2,800 students.

"Comcast Cares Day is an opportunity for us to bring together more than 100,000 of our employees, family members, friends and community partners, and work together to positively impact our local communities," said David L. Comcast NBCUniversal sponsors 12 teams of City Year AmeriCorps members serving in 11 cities across the country. These teams will serve more than 200,000 hours this year to provide tutoring, mentoring and additional support to more than 9,000 students.
