OMX partners with GRMS for global supplier screening

TORONTO, May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Canadian technology business, OMX (Offset Market Exchange Inc.) is proud to announce that it has partnered with Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS). Through the integration of the GRMS supplier screening solution within its innovative platform, OMX will deliver to its clients' critical supplier data including financial stability assessment, global watchlist screening, and diversity status verification.

"As supply chains become more complex and globalized, the inherent risks associated with this expansion increases dramatically," stated GRMS President Gerard Smith. "Studies clearly show that the gap between organizational screening resources and the ability to proactively vet new suppliers and verify the ongoing veracity of existing ones continues to widen" Smith continued. According to Smith, "this gap creates vulnerabilities within the supply chain that can result in untimely and costly interruptions."

By leveraging the modular adaptability of the GRMS Supplier Screening Solution, organizations such OMX can provide their clients with fast and easy access to critical screening data points to significantly minimize risks while maximizing strategic engagement with GRMS verified suppliers.

According to OMX Founder and CEO Nicole Verkindt, the GRMS screening capability will "enable our clients to accelerate the reliable engagement of a diverse base of global suppliers that will in addition to numerous other benefits, drive greater regional economic returns."
