California Roots Music Festival & LiveList Refine Branded Live Stream Model

Music fans around the world will enjoy a premium free live digital experience powered by LiveList across any connected device presented by Weedmaps over Memorial Day Weekend.

LOS ANGELES, May 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- LiveList, the #1 source for live streaming concerts worldwide, and Weedmaps, the top cannabis dispensary finder and lifestyle brand, have teamed up to power the 2017 California Roots Music & Arts Festival live from Monterey, CA on May 26-28, 2017.

The global reggae community will be able to tune in for more than 25 hours of premium live content across three days that includes performances from over 20 internationally-known artists including Rebelution, Jurassic5, Dirty Heads, SOJA, Thievery Corporation, and more.

Dan Sheehan, Co-Owner and Co-Producer of California Roots commented: "We have been investing and developing our live stream offering for several years, and are excited to have a forward-thinking brand partner like Weedmaps add value and creativity to our digital content offering. This will be our second year working with LiveList, who we value as a leading partner in this space and we couldn't be more excited to export our festival to a global audience."

Few festivals have been able to create a mutually valuable brand-festival relationship focused on active engagement as opposed to passive viewing. Combining top quality production and capture into the LiveList LiveChannel experience, fans can chat with artists and each other, post messages on a hashtag board, write articles and engage in real-time polls all the while engaging in a shared live experience.  Weedmaps, the presenting brand partner, will erect a "couch stage" in the center of the action for artist interviews, fan incentives and other goings-on -- and all the activities will be live streamed as well as part of the larger program.

"When it comes to music festivals like California Roots, we want to be more than just a banner on the stage. We want to be part of the experience, and in a unique and authentic way," commented Jonathan "JJ" Jones, Executive Vice President of Weedmaps. "The creative force of LiveList, coupled with the energy Weedmaps brings to the table, will take this great festival to even greater levels."

Fans can watch the livestream on Livelist.com, CaliforniaRootsFestival.com, and other affiliated media partners.  You can also download the iOS or Android LiveList app to watch the experience on your phone or tablet.

"LiveList aggregates the global supply of live streaming music festivals & performances, and we partner with select festivals and brands that we believe understand the next medium of online video -- live -- to create compelling new experiences that move the industry forward," commented Allen Sanford, CEO of LiveList.  "California Roots & Weedmaps have defined a great model for the festival world moving forward in the live streaming marketplace, and we believe this will provide a sustainable model for the industry moving forward."

About California Roots Music & Arts Festival Section:
California Roots isn't just a music festival; it's a movement. It's a way of life. It delivers a cosmic blend of good vibes, true happiness, family, peace, love and joy to all who enter. When Jimi Hendrix torched his guitar at the Monterey Pop Festival in the late '60's, he changed the way an entire generation looked not only at music festivals, but life itself. It is out of this same pure energy–the energy of natural and peaceful rebellion–that California Roots was born. We discovered the ecstasy that culminates from listening to awesome music, smiling at your neighbors and dancing with strangers; California Roots is about living life to the fullest. http://californiarootsfestival.com/about-us

Existing Big Data solutions are mainly focused on the discovery and analysis of data. The solutions are scalable and highly available but tedious when swapping in and swapping out occurs in disarray and thrashing takes place. The resolution for thrashing through machine learning algorithms and support nomenclature is through simple techniques. Organizations that have been collecting large customer data are increasingly seeing the need to use the data for swapping in and out and thrashing occurs ...
We all know that end users experience the internet primarily with mobile devices. From an app development perspective, we know that successfully responding to the needs of mobile customers depends on rapid DevOps – failing fast, in short, until the right solution evolves in your customers' relationship to your business. A strange thing is happening along the way to the Internet of Things, namely far too many devices to work with and manage. Detecting internal user threats in the Big Data eco-system is challenging and cumbersome. Many organizations monitor internal usage of the Big Data eco-system using a set of alerts. This is not a scalable process given the increase in the number of alerts with the accelerating growth in data volume and user base. Organizations are increasingly leveraging machine learning to monitor only those data elements that are sensitive and critical, autonomously establish monitoring policies, and to detect...

DevOps is often described as a combination of technology and culture. Without both, DevOps isn't complete. However, applying the culture to outdated technology is a recipe for disaster; as response times grow and connections between teams are delayed by technology, the culture will die. A Nutanix Enterprise Cloud has many benefits that provide the needed base for a true DevOps paradigm.
Most DevOps journeys involve several phases of maturity. Research shows that the inflection point where organizations begin to see maximum value is when they implement tight integration deploying their code to their infrastructure. Success at this level is the last barrier to at-will deployment. Storage, for instance, is more capable than where we read and write data. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 20th Cloud Expo, Josh Atwell, a Developer Advocate for NetApp, will discuss the role and valu...
