L’intelligenza artificiale e gli analytics contribuiscono ad accelerare la trasformazione degli ambienti lavorativi

Una nuova ricerca, che ha esaminato l’evoluzione in atto delle organizzazioni dagli uffici tradizionali agli ambienti di lavoro moderni, rivela che il raggiungimento di vantaggi competitivi e il miglioramento dei processi di business sono tra i principali obiettivi delle strategie di trasformazione digitale aziendali. Questo secondo il 40% delle 800 organizzazioni, di 15 paesi, in cinque continenti, intervistate per il Digital Workplace Report: Transforming Your Business di Dimension Data, pubblicato oggi.

Un altro dato evidenziato dal Repoort è rappresentato dal fatto che la trasformazione digitale non riguarda più solo l’adozione delle tecnologie esistenti: il 62% dei partecipanti si aspetta di accedere a soluzioni tecnologice quali “virtual advisor” entro i prossimi due anni. Inoltre, il 58% si aspetta di cominciare a investire attivamente in tecnologie in grado di consentire l’implementazione di soluzioni di virtual advisor nei prossimi due anni.

Oggi, i digital workplace non sono più costituiti solo da manager e dipendenti ma da collaboratori che cooperano tra di loro nella conduzione di un progetto e dipendenti che interagiscono con clienti e partner. Sono sempre di più popolati da “dipendenti virtuali” che non esistono in senso fisico ma tuttavia svolgono un ruolo importante all’interno delle organizzazioni.

Anche se l’Intelligenza Artificiale (AI) è ancora in una fase iniziale, è sufficientemente avanzata per essere introdotta nelle aziende sotto forma di assistenti virtuali e, per certi settori come quello bancario, come virtual teller e consulenti virtuali. Sotto forma di bot integrati in applicazioni specifiche, gli assistenti virtuali attingono dal motore di AI e dalle tecnologie di machine learning per rispondere a richieste semplici.

“Non è più sufficiente implementare semplicemente queste tecnologie,” commenta Krista Brown, Group End-user Computing SVP di Dimension Data. “Le organizzazioni devono aumentare l’uso degli analytics per comprendere come queste tecnologie impattano sulle prestazioni di business: il 64% ricorre agli analytics per migliorare i servizi ai clienti e il 58% come metro di valutazione per le tecnologie di workplace.”

Contemporaneamente, circa il 30% delle aziende afferma di essere avanti nelle proprie strategie di trasformazione digitale e di cominciare a beneficiarne, mentre il rimanente si trova ancora in una fase preliminare di sviluppo di un piano.

Brown sostiene che una delle ragioni che potrebbe trattenere le aziende dall’implementare un ambiente di lavoro digitale risieda nella propria cultura aziendale. Spesso la tecnologia e la cultura aziendale inibiscono – anziché incoraggiare – il cambiamento nel modello di lavoro. Tuttavia, l’impedimento principale al successo nell’adozione di nuovi stili lavorativi è costituito dalle problematiche IT. I partecipanti alla ricerca hanno citato le problematiche organizzative come ulteriore elemento di freno.

“La complessità delle infrastrutture IT esistenti può costituire un ostacolo importante all’implementazione di nuovi strumenti di collaborazione e produttività per supportare gli stili di lavoro flessibili. Le implementazioni di successo vengono raggiunte nel momento in cui l’IT lavora a stretto contatto con i responsabili delle linee di business,” afferma Brown e aggiunge che queste trasformazioni stanno supportando nuove modalità per fare business o i clienti stessi.

Ai responsabili IT è stato chiesto di classificare le tecnologie più importanti per le proprie strategie a supporto di ambienti di lavoro digitali.

Robert Allman, Group Senior Vice President, Customer Experience and Collaboration crede che la mobility sia l’elemento cardine per i moderni spazi di lavoro. “I responsabili di business e i CIO sono consapevoli dell’importanza della mobility negli ambienti di lavoro digitale come dimostrato da diverse aziende che supportano sia i dispositivi aziendali che di proprietà dei dipendenti all’interno del proprio ambiente lavorativo.”

Le aziende si stanno indirizzando verso le tecnologie di workplace per guidare un numero sempre più ampio di servizi ai clienti, con il 45% degli intervistati che dichiara una maggiore soddisfazione dei clienti come conseguenza dell’utilizzo delle tecnologie di workspace digitali.
