Intersolar Middle East : Le Marché mondial du PV - Le CCG est-il prêt à rejoindre les leaders du marché solaire mondial ?

La demande mondiale de l'énergie solaire photovoltaïque (PV) est encore dominée par la Chine. EnergyTrend estime que sa capacité d’installation solaire cumulative atteint 125 GW d'ici la fin de 2017. La Chine, les États-Unis, l'Inde et le Japon représentent 75% de la capacité totale d'installation solaire mondiale pour l'année 2017. La capacité globale totale d’installation dépassera 400 GW en 2018, et près de 1 TW de l'énergie solaire totale installée sera possible d'ici 2021. L'Inde seule prévoit d'atteindre 100 GW de photovoltaïque d'ici 2022.

Le CCG est-il prêt à rejoindre les leaders du marché solaire mondial ?

En 2016, les pays MENAT ont seulement atteint une capacité totale du PV de 3,2 GW, mais avec une capacité du PV installée prévue de 32,5 GW d'ici 2022 selon la société de recherche allemande Apricum. Cela signifie une augmentation de dix fois, ou une addition annuelle de 6 GW du PV.

Un certain nombre de projets PV impressionnants doit être mis en œuvre pour suivre les leaders mondiaux. Il est clair que l'Arabie Saoudite est le prochain grand marché. Le pays conserve ses plans pour 9.5 GW supplémentaires d'énergie renouvelable d'ici 2030. La Jordanie et l'Égypte sont sur leur chemin et obtiennent également des aides financières de banques internationales en espérant de compléter.

Selon Professeur Eicke Weber, ancien Directeur de l'Institut Fraunhofer pour les Systèmes d'Energie Solaire (ISE), le financement représente le plus grand défi dans le secteur photovoltaïque, « parce qu'il y a beaucoup de discussions, mais le résultat révèle beaucoup de projets en attente, en raison du manque de financement. L'autre problème est que tout le monde veut utiliser la production locale, mais il doit encore progresser, ce qui ralentit les projets », déclare professeur Weber, qui inaugurera la deuxième conférence Intersolar Middle East 2017 à Dubaï.
