OKI Data's ColorPainter M-64s Wins Keypoint Intelligence's Buyers Lab Inaugural Award in Wide-Format "Enhanced" CMYK Category

Vibrant color, speed and comprehensive functionality earn acclaim in eco-solvent/latex test program

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- OKI Data Americas, a world-class printing technology leader, today announced that its ColorPainter M-64s wide-format printer was awarded the Outstanding "Enhanced" CMYK Eco-solvent/Latex 54"/64" Printer Pick Award by Keypoint Intelligence's Buyers Lab (BLI). Competing against printers in Europe and the USA, the award is the result of months of hands-on evaluations performed by expert teams of analysts and lab technicians at BLI.

OKI Data Americas President and CEO Kiyoshi Kurimoto accepts a 2018 Pick award for Outstanding Enhanced CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54”/64” Printer from David Sweetnam, Director of Research and Lab Services at Keypoint Intelligence Buyers Laboratory (BLI) at SGIA Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017.

"OKI Data's ColorPainter M-64s was the clear winner in the 'enhanced' CMYK category," said David Sweetnam, Director of BLI's Research and Lab Services. "With a strong performance across multiple categories, the device's CP Manager garnered special commendation for its comprehensive functionality and usability helping it achieve Five Star status for Device Management and Monitoring."

Since launching the Eco-Solvent/latex test program in 2016, BLI has tested a host of Eco-Solvent and Latex 54"/64" devices in Europe and the United States, presenting their inaugural awards to the best performing products in four categories: Entry level CMYK Eco-solvent, Enhanced CMYK Eco-solvent, High Production CMYK Eco-solvent and Gamut Expansion Eco-solvent. The award was presented at the 2017 SGIA Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the ColorPainter's innovative print technologies, industrial-grade print heads and low-odor, eco-solvent ink will be on display through the end of SGIA at OKI Booth #2233, producing vibrant, glossy graphics with exceptional color saturation and outdoor durability.

"The ColorPainter M-64s was designed and engineered for the rigors of mid-to-high-volume print environments, which makes winning this award, as the only printer to earn a Five Star rating for speed, truly gratifying," said Fabrizio Soto, General Manager at OKI Data Americas' Industrial Business Unit. "We are thrilled that BLI has recognized these efforts with an 'excellent' rating for highest quality on cast vinyl media across all devices, outperforming competitors as well as to be awarded with an additional Five Star status in device management/monitoring."

The easy-to-use ColorPainter M-64s by OKI Data has revolutionized the wide-format print market with innovative technology and features that drive efficient, high-quality and unmatched graphic output at unrivaled speeds. High-viscosity, low-odor, eco-solvent SX inks improve working environments, achieve a wide color gamut and high-density colors resulting in superior, long-lasting print images with lower operating costs, making it ideal for a broad range of interior and exterior applications from vehicle wraps to backlit displays.
