gMed™, a Modernizing Medicine® company and developer of the award-winning gGastro™ suite, will showcase its GI-specific product portfolio at this year’s American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting (ACG 2017) in Orlando, Fla. This event comes on the heels of gMed’s gGastro EHR being ranked as the number one gastroenterology EMR in 2017 for the seventh consecutive year by Black Book™.

A native iPad application, gKiosk is designed to streamline patient check in, check out and discharge. Patients can perform self-service tasks, such as completing consent forms, demographics, clinical data signatures, pharmacy information and more.

“We’re looking forward to showing how Modernizing Medicine’s team has enhanced and improved instrumental solutions for our gastroenterology customers,” said Julie C. Servoss, MD, MPH, medical director of gastroenterology at Modernizing Medicine. “We continue to focus on alleviating providers’ pain points associated with mundane tasks like office management and operational workflow, and also maintain a laser-focus on compliance, reimbursement and patient outcomes.”

Committed to providing gastroenterology-specific solutions and services designed to help physicians improve efficiencies in medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and hospitals, the company will present its full suite including:

  • gGastro EHR – our award winning EHR*
  • gGastro Endoscopy Report Writer (ERW)
  • gPM™ – innovative practice management solution
  • RCM – revenue cycle management service
  • gInsights™ – an analytics platform to help improve clinical, financial and operational outcomes
  • gAdvisor™ – personal guidance from a MIPS coach
  • gPortal™ – an online patient engagement tool to improve communications
  • gKiosk – mobile patient engagement tool

“gGastro and gPM make it easy to track activities associated with patient care, which is a huge benefit and helps for a smoother patient experience,” said Pamela Isabel, Administrator for Woodholme Gastroenterology Associates. “Participation in the gAdvisor program has enabled our practice to take advantage of the government incentives made available to physicians. As compliance requirements continue to change we are well prepared, thanks to gMed, so we can focus on our practice and our patients.”

In addition, Olympus chose gMed’s ERW as a preferred replacement for its EndoWorks® platform. For ASCs and hospitals that need to transition from their Olympus system, gMed’s ERW offers proven hospital integrations, full-text searching of gGastro or EndoWorks data, Nursing Notes to populate vital information into procedure notes and advanced procedure documentation.
