M. Holland Finalizes T&T Marketing Acquisition

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins, today announced it has completed the acquisition of T&T Marketing, a leading distributor of polymer resins and compounds to the wire and cable market. The news comes around one month after M. Holland announced its intent to acquire the company in early October.

For more than 65 years, M. Holland has been the leading family-owned distributor of the highest quality application-specific plastic resins, with strategically placed warehouses, packaging and bulk terminal locations across North America. The company serves 4,000 customers supplying well over a billion pounds of resin annually sourced from the premier resin producers around the world. (PRNewsFoto/M. Holland)

"The completion of this acquisition officially marks M. Holland's debut into the wire and cable market," said Marc Fern, commercial vice president at M. Holland. "T&T Marketing provides M. Holland with a leadership position in this attractive and growing niche market, along with the requisite supplier base, product portfolio, and technical expertise that are integral to success in this industry. We're excited to offer T&T Marketing's 250-plus customers the scale, financial and commercial resources, and international reach that we currently deliver to our suppliers and clients."

T&T Marketing also provides a wide range of testing and applications development services at its lab in Easton, Pennsylvania. "The T&T Technical Center is a big addition to our technical resources, which we expect to bring value to our suppliers and clients in other markets," said Fern.

"This acquisition is a win-win for both companies," said Tom Jordan, owner and president of T&T Marketing. "This is more than a smart business opportunity, it's a combination of two family-run businesses that share the same cultural values. We're excited we have finalized this strategic acquisition, officially joining the M. Holland team."

T&T Marketing has annual revenues of about $40 million, employs 26 people, and ships from seven strategically located warehouses in the United States and Canada. The company will operate as a stand-alone business and retain its name for at least one year before becoming a branded business unit of M. Holland. Longer term, it is M. Holland's intention to bring T&T Marketing under its unified global brand.

"We're happy to count the T&T Marketing team as the newest members of our M. Holland family," said Ed Holland, CEO and president at M. Holland. "The expertise and experience that they bring to our company as leaders in the wire and cable industry are welcome additions to the high-caliber professionals that we are proud to call our Mployees. This acquisition is the logical next step in our goal to build strong teams of market-specific experts that can best serve our clients and suppliers."

T&T Marketing is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts. The company will continue to be led by Tom Jordan. All employees will be retained.

Both SaaS vendors and SaaS buyers are going “all-in” to hyperscale IaaS platforms such as AWS, which is disrupting the SaaS value proposition. Why should the enterprise SaaS consumer pay for the SaaS service if their data is resident in adjacent AWS S3 buckets? If both SaaS sellers and buyers are using the same cloud tools, automation and pay-per-transaction model offered by IaaS platforms, then why not host the “shrink-wrapped” software in the customers’ cloud? Further, serverless computing, cl...
