SICPA Partners with Arundo Analytics to Enable End-to-End Compliance Monitoring of Government Natural Resources Regulations

SICPA, a privately owned Swiss company, providing secured authentication and track & trace solutions to governmental institutions for the past 20 years, and Arundo Analytics, a software company enabling advanced analytics for industrial operations, have announced an exclusive partnership to deliver innovative solutions to meet the specific requirements of governments worldwide.

Sustainable, ethical and controlled exploitation of natural resources has become an increasingly critical imperative for all governments of resource-rich countries. But the task is complex and there are a multitude of stakeholders. Better systems are needed to ensure effective and efficient regulatory oversight and compliance monitoring.

“SICPA has a strong vision to set the standard worldwide for assisting national governments in securing the integrity of hydrocarbon management and we are very excited that Arundo was chosen as their exclusive partner in this area. Arundo wants to help transform our customers through data-driven insights and we are proud to work with SICPA in this service for national governments,” said Tor Jakob Ramsøy, Founder and CEO of Arundo Analytics.

The data-driven and IoT-enabled compliance systems, which the partnership will provide, will allow for the trustworthy management of the hydrocarbon supply chain integrity, greatly reducing the risks of fraud (e.g. theft, diversion, waste, adulteration) in both crude oil and refined product applications.

SICPA has a long record of delivering secured track & trace and authentication solutions across multiple value chains such as banknotes, value documents, excise tax-eligible goods and fuel marking. Arundo’s software enables scalable data science applications for static and streaming data in Oil & Gas and other heavy industrial operations. To build and deliver its cutting-edge resource integrity management systems, SICPA will integrate Arundo’s Enterprise Software suite alongside highly specialized hardware, software, data analysis and process management requirements.

Sauro Nicli, Group CIO and Head of Venture Initiatives at SICPA, said: “We are pleased to sign an exclusive partnership with Arundo for advanced analytics in hydrocarbon resource integrity. We pursued an exhaustive search for best-in-class IoT technologies to support our government customers in this ambitious strategy. Arundo provided the best capabilities and understanding of the complex requirements, along with the right experienced leadership team, to deliver to our global customers.”
