Infragistics Releases Ultimate 17.2

Release features native Angular components, Control Configurators for WPF, and broad updates to UI controls for building Web, Mobile, & Desktop Apps

CRANBURY, N.J., Nov. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Infragistics, a worldwide leader in providing tools and solutions to accelerate design, development and collaboration, today announced the launch of Infragistics Ultimate 17.2. With this release, Infragistics is expanding today's most popular UI control suite to include 30 + material-based true Angular components. Trusted by more than two million developers worldwide, Ultimate 17.2 includes hundreds beautifully styled, feature rich, high-performance grids, charts, & other UI controls, plus time-saving visual configuration tooling, rapid prototyping tools, and the ability to conduct and record usability testing.

Designed to help developers create a great user experience on any mobile or desktop device, Ignite UI for Angular features their popular Data Grid, an easy to use API, and the ability to quickly deploy your mobile applications through GitHub and NPM. Ignite UI for Angular is a dual licensed product, meaning non-profits can use the tools free, but commercial customers will be required to purchase a license.  Angular continues to a rise in usage over the past year and has become the framework of choice for many developers of Progressive Web Apps. Infragistics is continually hearing from their customers that they want material-based components, and they believe that 2018 will be a breakthrough year for PWAs in the enterprise.

"Through continuous delivery in 2018 we will focus on delivering new features and capabilities to our Angular data grids and Angular charts," said Jason Beres, Senior Vice President of Developer Tools at Infragistics. "As we continue to focus on helping design teams and developers deliver software faster with beautiful UX, we will ship high-productivity features like enhanced Ignite UI CLI features, integration with the Angular CLI, more Sketch UI kits and app templates for the designer-developer workflow, and visual configurators for charts and grids for any code editor, including Visual Studio Code."

For jQuery developers, Ignite UI for JavaScript automates manual processes with a new Command Line Interface. The JavaScript Grid now provides support for physical cell merging, the Schedule component added support for Re-Occurring events along with Day & Week Views, and Ignite UI for JavaScript now supports ASP.NET Core 2.0.
