Sprint Recicla Madera Caída para Apoyar los Esfuerzos de Ayuda a los Afectados por el Huracán Irma

Sprint (NYSE: S) ha reciclado madera de árboles arrancados por el Huracán Irma en el Sur de la Florida para crear los sujetadores de teléfono #FloridaStrong. El cien por ciento del dinero recaudado de este único accesorio se usara para ayudar a los afectados por el Huracán Irma. A partir de esta semana, los sujetadores de teléfono estarán disponibles en Tiendas Sprint locales selectas de todo el condado de Miami-Dade por una donación sugerida de $5 cada uno. Los sujetadores de teléfonos se pueden usar cualquier dispositivo.

Tras el paso del Huracán Irma, Sprint, sus empleados y SoftBank se comprometieron a donar 2 millones de dólares en apoyo a los afectados por este desastre natural. La compañía también patrocinó una tarde de diversión en un refugio de Miami-Dade ofreciendo pintura de caras, helado, estaciones de carga y suministros para los evacuados. Prosiguiendo los esfuerzos de apoyo, todo lo recaudado de la venta de los sujetadores de teléfono se donará a La Fundación Miami para cubrir necesidades de alimentos, seguridad, ayuda a poblaciones vulnerables, vivienda estable y otras necesidades inmediatas y a largo plazo de los residentes de los condados de Miami-Dade y Monroe. Se han fabricado unas 10,000 unidades y estas cantidades se prevé que duren toda la temporada de fiestas de fin de año.

“Nos emociona poder crear algo positivo de los escombros de la tormenta, y usar estos sujetadores de teléfonos como un símbolo para la comunidad de Florida de que juntos nos recuperaremos volviendo con más fuerza que nunca”, afirmó Claudio Hidalgo, Presidente Regional de Sprint para el área de Florida, Puerto Rico y las Islas Vírgenes de EE.UU. “Esperamos que mediante anteriores y constantes esfuerzos como estos y muchos más, podamos apoyar la ayuda a los afectados y la reconstrucción”.
