Skywerx Industries First ISP to Launch Telrad Dual Carrier LTE Solution

Utilizing Dual Sector/Carrier capability, with 20+20 MHz channel support, to double capacity and increase subscribers

LOD, Israel, Dec. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative LTE telecom solutions, today announced that Skywerx Industries, a Colorado Internet Service Provider (ISP) and subsidiary company of Visionary Broadband, has successfully upgraded to the new Dual Sector/Dual Carrier feature, enabling them to double capacity and increase subscribers. The trial was conducted using an experimental license from the FCC for the 3.5 GHz CBRS band.

The Dual Sector/Dual Carrier feature enables Telrad customers, through a software upgrade, to double performance and attain speeds up to 200 Mbps per sector. The technology supports up to 20+20 MHz channels in a single or dual sector configuration.

Skywerx, serving Southwest Colorado, delivers high-speed Internet services to residents and small businesses in rural areas of the community, including Pagosa Springs, Bayfield, Durango, Ignacio, and beyond. With increased customer demand for higher throughput and a growing customer base, Skywerx welcomed the opportunity to trial the advanced feature, which doubles capacity and improves performance.

Visionary Broadband, the parent company of recently acquired Skywerx Industries and Mammoth Networks, is deploying Telrad Networks LTE solution with the new Dual Carrier/Dual Sector feature, throughout their combined coverage areas, which span portions of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.

Brian Worthen, CEO of Visionary Broadband, stated, "We have been very happy with the Telrad Networks' solution, and the ability to double capacity has us extremely excited.  Doubling network performance will play a key role in growing our business, better serving existing customers, and adding new customers in areas where we were previously limited. The new functionality has been performing as promised and we look forward to incorporating it into current deployments in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming and in all new deployments as well."

Chris Daniels, President of Telrad's Broadband Wireless Division commented, "The feedback from the trial has been very positive, and we are receiving a lot interest in the Dual Carrier/Dual sector feature, which will be generally available in the first quarter of 2018. We are confident that, like with Skywerx, the new feature will enable our customers to double their per-sector performance without a truck roll, increase customer capacity, and boost system efficiency. We are proud to be testing with a large ISPs such as Visionary Broadband, and look forward to our solution being adopted by operators of all sizes who are encumbered by the inefficiencies that are currently part and parcel of the broadband wireless product landscape."
