Burzynski Clinic Celebrates '30 Years of Saving Lives' Together With Cancer Survivors: Pink Ribbons From Houston Texans Cheerlea

HOUSTON, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/11/07 -- The Burzynski Research Institute, Inc. (OTCBB: BZYR) and the Burzynski Clinic will celebrate "30 Years of Saving Lives" during an evening gala banquet to be held on October 13, 2007, at 6:00 PM, at Omni Houston Westside Hotel, located at 13210 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.

The event is dedicated to cancer survivors who have overcome the odds and obstacles of facing cancer head-on and won their lives back. Cancer survivors are coming to Houston from all over the country to "celebrate life." At the reunion cancer survivors will share their heartwarming stories and thank the doctors who were instrumental in saving their lives by utilizing innovative cancer treatments.

The highlights of the evening will be the patients' testimonials, and the Life Service Awards presented to the patients cured of cancer for the longest period of time. The first award will go to a veteran, now cancer-free for 27 years, who was once diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma, a deadly cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. The remaining awards will go to a large group of cancer survivors of 10 years and more.

The Pink Ribbons Awards Ceremony is dedicated to all breast cancer survivors in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer survivors will receive symbolic pink ribbon pins as a token of their victory over cancer. Pink ribbons will be awarded by a cheerleader from the Houston Texans football team to show their support of the breast cancer awareness initiative.

Stanislaw Burzynski M.D., Ph.D., is an internationally recognized physician and researcher who pioneered the development and use of biologically-active peptides he calls "Antineoplastons." Dr. Burzynski also pioneered personalized gene-targeted therapy. Antineoplastons have been used by Dr. Burzynski over the last 30 years to treat thousands of patients at Burzynski Clinic. Antineoplaston treatment is an experimental treatment now available under FDA-supervised clinical trials sponsored by the Burzynski Research Institute, Inc.

Dr. Burzynski's cancer treatments have literally turned patients' lives around. He has treated more than 100 types of cancers including breast, colon, lung, prostate, pancreas, and lymphatic, to name a few. Many of Dr. Burzynski's patients had aggressive brain tumors, and some were small children with grim prognoses of less than 3 months to live. Today these former patients are thriving young teenagers and adults celebrating as many as 15-27 years of being cancer-free.

The gala banquet will be hosted by Mr. Steven Siegel, founder of the Burzynski Patient Group and husband of a former patient. The gala will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 PM, followed by a musical performance by Prof. Andrzej Grabiec from The Moores School of Music, University of Houston, and will also entail appearances from distinguished guests such as Dr. Julian Whitaker, author of the "Health & Healing" newsletter and founder of the American Preventive Medicine Association, and Thomas Elias, Pulitzer Prize nominee, and author of the book "The Burzynski Breakthrough." Attendees will also enjoy a plated dinner at 8:00 PM and evening entertainment.
